Art Break! - Embroidery 

A little while ago I was looking at some historical pieces of embroidery with my friend S.
She mentioned how it was sad that it is a dying art.

So why don't I give it a shot?

I got a hoop, some fabric, different coloured floss, and got started.

First a poppy.

Then an immortelle.

A pink rose.

A snowdrop.

I already broke a needle, but I have plenty more XD

Forget-me-not.

Lavender.

Progress so far:

A cherry blossom.

Blue lotus.

A violet,

In a new little hoop!

I will post more as I complete more. :D

Spice Boutique - Unbleached Self Fill Tea Bags

I have many loose leaf teas and when I don't want to make a whole pot and just want a cup, I either use a metal infuser or these.

These are unbleached because they don't need to be bleached.

It is a waste of resources and I don't want any residual bleaching agents or byproducts in my tea.

The only negative is the bag has a small opening (because it is a small bag) which can make it a little tricky to fill.

Head & Shoulders - Citrus Fresh - Anti-Dandruff Shampoo

This is like other Head & Shoulders shampoos but it has an awesome citrus note added.
It is an added note, you can still smell the baseline normal H&S shampoo scent.

It cleans well, lathers well, and is silver jewellery safe.
I have had minimal dandruff while using this.

Chlorhexamed - Forte - Mouthwash

This is a 0.2% chlorohexidine (antiseptic) mouthwash for after oral procedures.
It didn't taste too bad (tastes like mint) and didn't burn.

It wasn't too bad using this for a few days.

Sticky Paws Furniture Strips

These are great!

Phil is a naughty baby sometimes and loved to scratch the edge of the shoe box.
Past tense.

Since putting these sticky, double-sided tape pieces on his 'favourite' spots, he has been much better.

He's still a naughty baby, but not as bad.

Note: He has a lovely scratch pad that he also uses. He gets praise when he uses it.
He will be getting a scratching pole soon to see if he prefers it.

Tee Gschwendner - Grüner Rooibos Erdbeer-Sahne (Green Rooibos Strawberry Cream)

I wanted just green rooibos for this, but they only had flavored ones.
Since trying it, I'm not mad.

It even has a warm rosy colour.

It has a nice strawberry & cream scent and taste.
It actually tastes like it!

It has green rooibos (not fermented), flavor, strawberry leaves, strawberry pieces, pink berries, and cornflower blossoms.

Essence - Metal Shock - Eyeshadow - 01 Solar Explosion

This is a glittery gold cream eye shadow.

You can apply it with the doe foot applicator to get a kind of foil look, or buff it out to get more of a dispersed glitter look.

I really love this, it isn't too over the top but adds some glitz to a look.

No mascara or eyeliner.

I wore it for New Year's Eve with a dark lip. <3
And it didn't crease up, and I am oil!

Tee Gschwendner - Vor Freude (With Joy)

This tea has apple mint, chamomile, marigold, cornflower, lavender, wild thyme, sunflower, and rose petals.

It tastes so nice! Floral, green, and I can taste lavender (which I love).

Catrice -ICONails - 20 Back To The Routes - Gel Lacquer

It says 'gel lacquer' but it is just an ordinary polish.

This is a ONE COAT black!

Maybe I should send some to Cristine?

It is shiny, long lasting, and I love it!

And a good excuse to show you my sweet pinkie nail.

O'Clair Health - Hanfpulver Kapseln - Hemp Powder Capsules

These are capsules with two natural phytocannabinoids, which are supposedly good for their cell protective and anti-inflammatory properties.

These have no THC, so they won't get you high.
It's silly that you can't get this in Australia, it cannot be enjoyed recreationally.

I take them at night right before I go to bed because they can make me feel a little nauseous.

Cien - Tag für Tag Shampoo - Frucht & Vitamin

This is a daily shampoo that I purchased from Lidl.

It is a nice peach scent and I really wanted it to work.

But it gave me the worst dandruff! I was getting skin everywhere and it seemed like it was endless. Even the tops of my ears started peeling! 

I can't use this anymore, which sucks greatly (because I have a lot left).

Isana - 200 Wattestäbchen (200 Cotton Swabs)

I got these to clean up parts of nail polish and apply masks as spot treatments.

They are sturdy, don't fall apart, and I like the plastic box they come in (the lid fits on nicely for storage).

Scent: 2.5/5 (no scent)

Effectiveness: 5/5

Masquerade! - Face Apeel - Suction Black Mask

Black peel off face masks are very popular right now.
It didn't pull too much out of my skin, but it did get some gunk and many baby hairs.
The trick it to apply a thick enough coat.
I only did a thin coat the first time and nothing happened.
It does smells very nice, perfumed.

RdeL Young - French Manicure Schablonen (Template)

These are guides for doing french tips, but I just used them for a border on my glitter.

Check out my accent nail!

They did pull up the nail polish underneath a little bit, but they were cheap and it didn't really matter with the clear nail polish I used.
Also, I was probably too impatient in letting the base coat dry.

Podcast Review - Alice Isn't Dead

This follows the story of a truck driver (who goes by many names) as she searches for her missing wife.

I did like how despite the story involving a lesbian relationship, they feel no need to explicitly stating it. I like that a lot.

We start learning about the 'Thistle man' and begin to peel back the layers of something bigger.

I won't go too much into the story, I don't want to spoil it.

The only thing I don't like is the guy who introduces the story each time, he talks for far too long.
  And here's a question for you: Why did the chicken cross the road?

Because he wanted to be involved. Because he liked the story. Because he couldn't bear letting the story shine. Because he should be the story. Because he needs the attention. Because he needs to be the centre of attention.
Because he wants part of the fame and glory. Because he can't present a good story.
Because atmosphere be damned.
Because he can't be quiet.
Because your enjoyment be damned.
Because he must be the star.
He must be.
He must.
