Shining Light Book Update

It has now been half a year of daily shining lights! That's a lot of positives!

Some of which are:

- I had some very good cheese noodles (something I don't usually eat).
- There has only been a handful of hot/warm days (not a fan of warm weather).
- DEADPOOL 2!

- 'Infinity War' was damn good too!
- A lady had the cutest black pug on the tram.
- I saw a little bird with a red throat. I think it was a European Robin.

I also want to give a shout out to a personal hero of mine: my liver.
It can handle anything, any medicine, process it efficiently and keep marching on. Nothing phases it. I would like to be more resistant to the negative bits of life like my liver is.

It's so easy to focus on what is going wrong (especially when it comes to health), so what is going right for you?
What body part is your hero? What has never let you down?
Give it a big thank you today!

Always - Ultra Night - With Wings - Pads

Guys, I'm in love!
These are the best pads I've ever used!!!

Look at that beautiful quilted surface!

They are very thin, super absorbent, and so robust!
They won't fall off, shift, or break apart.
It's almost like you aren't wearing a pad, even when you are bleeding a lot.

Feels like I'm wearing nothing at all!

These are everything a pad should be!!!

Price: 4/5 ($9 for 20)
Effectiveness: 5/5

Dr Loges - Omega 3 Loges - Junior

These are omega 3 supplements that are marketed for children.

As not a child, I take two a day.
They are little red capsules that you bite open, not swallow.

The taste is part fish oil, part nondescript fruity, they are pleasant enough.

I started these because one of my doctors recommended them.

While they were fun, I'm going to move onto more adult, less expensive capsules.

Price: 1/5 ($30.74 for 60 capsules or 30 days)
Scent: 2.5/5 (virtually none)
Effectiveness: 5/5

Cookies, data, and this site

So I keep getting this notice:

"European Union laws require you to give European Union visitors information about cookies used and data collected on your blog. In many cases, these laws also require you to obtain consent.

So I don't collect any data from my readers, I wouldn't know how.
However Google (who own 'blogger') probably does.

I can't really give you any advice on this because I don't know much about it all.
I turned off Ad-sense so they won't uses your data for ads on this site.

Phil & Lil - Kittens

PB and I have had the kittens for ~1 year now and they are so fun!
I forgot how destructive kittens can be.
Toys destroyed, walls scratched, things pushed off table.
They also liked sneezing on our food, earning the title of 'spice weasels'.

Bam! Taking it up a notch!

But they are also so lovely.
It surprised me how much the stand on two legs! Phil is my little Rory Calhoun.

For a long time I trained myself not to catch things because it wasn't worth trying to catch falling lab glassware, its a fine way to cut your hand up.
But with the kittens, I immediately reach to catch them if I see them falling.
I guess I can't stop myself from wanting to protect them.
And my other cat Hades wasn't in the position to fall much so I never noticed it with him.

Lil is the gentlest, sweetest, little kitty.
She is so considerate and polite, to us and to her brother.
She is very shy of new people, but is very lovely when she gets used to you.

Phil talks a lot, more than any cat I have known before.I call him Mr Squeaky.
He loves company and sitting on laps.
He is also the 'bad egg' at times, scratching our furniture and drinking PB's water.

We love them both so much <3 I'm so glad we got them!

My rating
Lil: 10/10
Phil: 10/10

PB's rating
Lil: 9/10
Phil: 8/10

Masquerade! - Garnier - SkinActive - Hautklar (Skin Clear)- Anti-Pickel (Anti-Pimple) Thermo-Maske

This is a self heating clay mask. It smells herbal and clean.

The mask feels nice on and it easy to wash off.

While it is good at drawing out oil, I wish it would heat more. The temperature increase was very mild.

Art Break! - Tartan Skirt

I saw the legging/skirt combo and really loved it... but I didn't love the price.

So I decided to make my own!

I purchased some tartan cloth (for much less than the skirt) and got to work.

I folded it over to measure up the front and back length and cut out a rectangle.

In the middle I cut a line which will be the opening.
I sewed around the opening to clean it up.

For the hem, I liked the unfinished look, so I sealed it with some clear nail polish.

To fasten it I just used a safety pin.
Verdict: I love it!
