Book Review - The Complete Works - H. P. Lovecraft - Part 3

Brace yourself, this is a big blog.

I had to make this a three-parter because I wanted the other reviews to go out but I didn't want to keep reading this sh*t.

The stories left for me to read are 'The Silver Key', 'The Strange High House in the Mist', 'The Case of Charles Dexter Ward', 'The Colour out of Space', 'The Very Old Folk', 'The Dunwich Horror', 'The Whisperer in Darkness', 'At the Mountains of Madness', 'The Shadow over Innsmouth', 'The Dreams in the Witch House', 'The Evil Clergyman', 'The Thing on the Doorstep', 'Through the Gates of the Silver Key', 'The Haunter of the Dark', 'Fragments', and 'The Descendant'.

I will not be reading these, I can't take the racism.
There are better, less offensive stories out there.

Art Break! - Simple Kitten Toy

This is just a quick project for the twins.

I used some felt I had and cut out two circles.

I then sewed them together, leaving a gap to put things inside.

After adding some catnip, I sewed it up all the way.
I then stitched around again, just to make it really secure.

Verdict: They loved it! Phil actually wanted it before my sewing was finished. XD

The Body Shop - Elderflower Unperfumed Eye Gel

I actually used this as an all over face cream when I went to hospital and it worked really well.
Even though it has alcohol in it, it didn't bother my skin.
I like that it has witch hazel and is lightweight (particularly nice as my room was quite warm).
When put under my eye, it did make that area look happier.

Price: 3/5 ($15 for 15mL)
Scent: 2/5 (nice witch hazel smell, but also an alcohol smell which sucks)
Effectiveness: 4/5

Same Product, Different Scent - Dusch Das - Blühend Schön - Body Wash

This smells quite nice. The main scent is magnolia.

It cleans well and is non-irritating.

The only negative is I started using it in hospital, so now the scent reminds me of being in hospital.

So I have to take a break from this scent and try making better memories (like being home) to connect to it.

Book Review - James Herbert - Haunted

This book follows David Ash (who I have met before because I read book 2 'The Ghosts of Sleath' years ago before I knew it was book 2), a spiritual investigator (he likes to out fakes), as he investigates a possibly haunted estate.
I really liked how the main story was paused occasionally to see a memory of David's past, it kept it very interesting.

I also read this one in hospital and it made the nights there wonderfully spooky.

Always - Dailies - Fresh & Protect - Panty Liners

I really like these, they are perfect for the time before your period when you aren't sure when it will start.

They are super thin, yet have a significant absorbent core.

I'm so impressed with these!
