Shining Light Book Update

10 months of daily shining lights! Some of which include:

- I saw a shooting star.
- Lovely storms and lightning!
- Beautiful cool weather.
- Lil likes lemon sorbet.
- I saw a guy at the train station who looked like the guy from 'Too Many Cooks'.

- The weather is lovely and cool.
- The leaves changed colour!

I love this time of year!

Art Break! - Parcel Decoration

This is a very simple one.
I wanted to send R a birthday present and felt like decorating the inside of the box as a little extra touch.

I cut out hearts with my cutter.

And stuck them in.

Done!

Art Break! - Australian Embroidery for K

I have been meaning to make a piece of embroidery for K for a while, so this was fun to finally do.

I went with an Australian flora and fauna theme simply because I thought K would like it.

I sketched it out, an echidna with a half circle of yellow wattle and pink gum blossoms.

I have this lovely beige material to embroider on to.

All sketched out.

Green ring.

Wattle leaves.

Gum blossom base.

Gum leaves.

Here has the brown added.

Gum blossoms.

The echidna.

To back it I have some light pink felt.

I added a little patch with an embroidered signature to sign my work.

Done!

Verdict: They loved it!

Vitactiv - Bio Eisen & Vitamin C (Iron & Vitamin C)

These are organic iron capsules in which the iron comes from curry leaf and vitamin C (from amla and acerola, it is used to absorb iron).

They are a medium size and easy to take.

These have been my go to iron tablets for a while and I'm no longer classed as 'severely aneamic', now I'm 'low iron'. (I don't get a lot of iron in my food.)

I'm not one no feel nauseous when I take iron tablets, and these also do not make me nauseous (not that I'm a good test).

Scent: 2.5/5 (no taste)

Art Break! - Embroidered Gift for PB

I wanted to make something really special for PB. He didn't know I started working on this, I wanted it to be a surprise!

I actually sketched my idea out this time.

I did a gold sun with the lines horazontal (like how the sun moves over the horizon) and a silver moon with the lines vertical (like how it moves through the phases).
I also put gold stars above the sun.

Mmm, blurry!

I then added a golden yellow, a peachy orange, and blues to the rooster. Like the sun in the bright blue sky.

For the hen I went with a night-time motif with pinks, purples, and blues. I also added some light pink clouds.

I really can't escape my colour-block style, can I? XD

To present it I put it in a wooden frame.

I held it in with these double sided foam tape rectangles.

Finally I finished it off with this great lace tape.

Done!

Verdict: He loved it!

The Worst Idea of All Time

Just an update/announcement that one of my favourite podcasts 'The Worst Idea of All Time' has started re-uploading season 1.

Eau Thermale Avène - Eluage - Eye Contour Care

An under eye cream that claims to help with wrinkles, puffiness, and dark circles.

The colour is a pale beige and I had to double check it wasn't meant as a tinted moisturiser...It isn't a tinted moisturiser, it is not.

It is thin for an eye cream, what I would expect for a body lotion.

The smell is like a faint sunscreen.

It seems to work pretty well, I'm impressed.
