This is a shaving foam that works pretty well.

It has a mild generic 'male cologne' scent which isn't too unpleasant.
It isn't irritating, which is also super important.

Book Review - Ash - James Herbert

This is the third book in the 'Ash' trilogy and the last book Herbert wrote.

At first I found the references to the modern world (internet, no smoking indoors, mobile phones) a little funny.
It could have been set in the 80's/90's and I wouldn't of minded.
As I continued, it became annoying because the author took it as an opportunity to complain about the modern world.

All of his books are basically male power fantasies, but this one is too much. All the women have to say how handsome Ash is. A male doctor giving and unfounded speech on how qualified Ash is. The book even has to make a point of how Ash has a better torch than a park ranger he is with at one point. It's just petty.

Delphine, our love interest, is always frail and falling over. A sexy lamp disguised as a damsel in distress.

There is a gay couple in the book which Herbert uses to push his dusty agenda that they shouldn't call it marriage (I guess because he thinks marriage should only be for the straights).
Also, heaven forbid a woman may be bisexual (not that the term is ever used).

It didn't even deliver on the one thing Herbert books should provide, gore and horror. This was such a mild read!

I wish this book wasn't published, it adds nothing and only taints a previously good story line.

Mercifully, there will not be another book (Herbert passed in 2013).

Technic - Eyeshadows - Nudes

I wanted a nude eyeshadow palette because I didn't have one.

I was initally thinking of Colorpop, but a lot of their nude palettes had red shades in them, I don't wear red eyeshadow shades.

This palette has six shades, which I will invent names for because they don't have any given to them.

Top to bottom:
Witching Hour
Coffee with Friends
Delta
Spring Carnation
Golden Hour
Champagne Toast

They feel quite buttery (surprisingly so) but the colour payoff is medium.

With the light hitting it to show the reflection.

The lighter three are shimmers and the darker three are a satin finish with a bit of glitter, but the glitter is not overpowering.

Nur Die - Söckchen - 30 den - Sahara

I wore these with my heels when I went out recently.

They are the length of the average sock and a comfortable.

I LOVE the colour! Something pale enough for my pale skin!
(Yes shops in Australia, not every pale person has or wants a tan!)
They also have many shades to suit just about everyone, which is very nice.

They also have full length stockings, knee length, and little foot slips.

Price: 5/5 ($3.14 or pi dollars for a pair)

Same Product, Different Colour - Revlon - Colorstay Ultimate - Liquid Lipstick - Premium Pink

This is a warm, mid-pink shade that looks shimmery in the tube but that doesn't translate to the look on.

It smells a bit like rum-soaked raisins.

It lasts a long time and is fairly eating/drinking resistant.

Venkon - Electronic Stake Butterfly in Glass - Blue

I got this for the kittens to play with.

They like chasing flies, so I thought they might like it.

It is activated by touch - being hit/tapped. It isn't really affected by sound.
It takes three AAA batteries and they last a long time, which is nice.
It lights up when activated, which I would prefer it didn't, it makes it less natural.

The twins are curious about it, they like how it flutters, stops, then flutters again,

Phil is curious. 

They don't like it when they accidentally knock it while running around. 

Then it is scary.

Would I get it again if I went back in time? Probably not.

It's too spooky most of the time for my kittens XD

*Toy Idea: Save a piece of curling ribbon from a gift and tie it to a piece of furniture. My kittens think this is captivating.
