Avon Stardust Nail Enamel - Precious Pink

For those of you who have been following along (or just know me IRL), I am currently loving glitter! (I am a pretty, if violent, unicorn)

Avon's Stardust nail polish meets my needs :) I have the pink (Precious Pink) and the red (Cherry Dazzler) nail enamels... I have only used the pink thus far.

The great thing about these is there is no need for an undercoat, the photos are after ONLY one coat and the finish is a rather mature matte/textured effect (I put on a shiny top coat though, because there is never enough sparkle for me!)

In terms of lasting strength, it is still going strong on day 3!

Price: 3/5 (rrp $14.99 for 12mL)
Scent: This is nail varnish, stop sniffing it!... 1/5
Effectiveness: 4.5/5

Rexona Antiperspirant Women Sexy
I love the scent of this deodorant, so pretty!

It claims to be 48 hours of protection, but I would give it 12 hours at most (and I don't sweat a great deal, so it's not like I'm pushing it too hard).

I don't really know what else to say, aside from this scent can be hard to find...

"Same scent, better protection" Solution:
Roll-on is always better!

Price: 2/5 (rrp $5.78 for 90g)
Scent: 4.5/5
Effectiveness: 3/5

Pure Essense - Hydrating Shampoo - Green Tea
This was a sample I got from a hotel room, so I guess this will help you decide if you want to use/take this hotel sample, should you encounter it...

The scent is pleasant enough, kind to green tea with generic soap smell.

The lather was just ok and the cleaning ability seems a bit limited by it being a 'hydrating shampoo' (possibly due to the moisturising elements leaving a bit of residue).

'I need a good shampoo' Solution:
Effective, cheap and cheerful!

Price: 5/5 (free!)
Scent: 2/5
Effectiveness: 2/5

Nivea Men - Energy - Shower Gel
How convenient! Hair, body and face wash in one! -_-

The smell is generic cheap male smell, but the lather is okay and it does the job in terms of making the filth of the day go away...

"I want to smell good (as a male) but not cheap after washing" Solution:
Smells so good! And not fake :)

Price: 4/5 (rrp $7.50 for 500mL)
Scent: 1/5 (eww)
Effectiveness: 5/5 (meh, it soaps good)

Vera Wang - Princess - Perfume

This perfume is so lovely, even my mother likes it! (and she usually doesn't have strong feelings about many things)

To me, this purple delight, smells of vanilla... just sweet vanilla

Fragrantica lists the notes as follows:
Top notes - apricot, mandarin, apple, water lily
Middle notes - tuberose, guava, dark chocolate, tiare flower
Base notes - amber, vanilla, woodsy notes

I would say this perfume lasts a moderate amount of time (longevity), is of moderate strength (sillage) and would suit autumn and/or the afternoon the best.

This is such a beautiful scent... I am so tempted to repurchase it!

Price: 3/5 (rrp $89 for 100mL, but you can often get it for ~$30)
Season: Autumn
Weight: Medium
Overall possum liking: 5/5

Bory ChoiZone - Wrinkle Repair Serum
Whelp, the only image I could find of this product was off another blog...

Bory Wrinkle Repair Serum comes from Korea, I got mine from a Memebox :D

You put it on before moisturising to help repair fine lines and wrinkles.

Do I think it made much of a difference in reducing fine lines? Probably not.
Did I like it? Yes! The extra moisture and care made my skin one happy little bean.

The formula doesn't pill and soaks in quickly. The scent is very mild and clean, very pleasing.

The only negative being it can be hard to get.

'Availability' Solution:
Drops of youth from the Body Shop, baby!

Price: ??? Who knows ???
Scent: 2.5/5
Effectiveness: 4/5

The Body Shop - Body Butter - Wild Argan Oil
This rich body butter sinks in nicely and won't upset sensitive skin. The scent (this one being argan oil) is transferred well, but isn't overpowering.

I don't really know what else to say, I just really like this body butter.

I guess just be warned that some of these can be quite thick, it varies by what scent you get.
eg- thick butters: argan, poppy
      thinner butters: satsuma

Price: 3/5 (rrp $23.95 for 200mL)
Scent: 4/5 (Argan oil is a dividing scent)
Effectiveness: 5/5

Nip + Fab - Bust Fix - Décolleté Gel
I picked this up at Target while buying some viper venom cream from the same line... even though I am a proud member of the itty bitty titty committee, I thought "hey, why not?"

This cream is meant to work by firming up the skin of the breast, thereby making them perkier (I don't need help in this department, don't even need a bra!) and perhaps make them bigger (this is where I come in).

While using this, I noticed no change in my bust appearance beyond what any moisturiser would do for my skin... but did they feel different, and not in a good way!

My boobs ached so bad! They felt in constant need of massage like a cramped muscle (Pro tip: very difficult to convince people to squeeze my boobs)... this discomfort rendered the whole experience a bad one.

'I want bigger boobs' Solution:
Probably not what you wanted to hear, but breast implants are pretty much the only way to increase bust size. If you think this may be for you, do your research! Remember, they are not for life (need to be replaced every ten years) and the surgery comes with risks (like every surgery).

Personally, I'll keep my itty bitty titties just the way they are :)

Price: 1/5 (rrp $35.95 for 100mL)
Scent: 1/5
Effectiveness: 0/5

Sally Hansen - Salon Effects - Real Nail Polish Strips - #410 Love Letter
I picked this up on sale and it looked like fun... nail polish stickers, how hard can it be? Right?!

When applying the stickers, the plastic was a bit fiddly to get off the nail polish part... I had about a 15% rip rate of the nail polish part.

Also, I had a few wrinkles in the end result, due to the distinct curvature of my nail not matching well with the planar nature of the sticker.

It looked good though!:

What I HATED though was that ONLY ONE DAY later it CHIPPED! I even had a top coat on! S.O.B!

I don't care if I have Shakespeare transcribed on my nails, if it's just going to chip within a day, I don't want it!

Solution:

This top coat is terrific! Use this on top if you insist on using the nail stickers. :)

Price: 2/5 (rrp $14.95 for one round)
Effectiveness: 2/5

Avon - Femme - Shower Gel

This shower gel smells like the Avon Femme perfume (think jasmine, magnolia, amber-woods...  white flowers) and is designed to be used in conjunction with the perfume.

The smell is moderate in the product, but the minute this gel is washed off the skin, there is no lingering scent. This is quite disappointing that the scent doesn't last on the skin.

As a shower gel; it doesn't lather well, it angers my whiny skin and doesn't leave me feeling clean.

A 'shower gel that lathers well, leaves you feeling clean and smelling great' solution:
Imperial Leather is my BFF.

Price: 2/5 (rrp $12.00 for 200mL)
Scent: 3.5/5 (not a huge fan of white floral)
Effectiveness: 0/5

L'Occitane - Rose 4 Reines - Velvet Hand Cream
This hand cream! THIS! YASSSSSSSSSSSS!

It soaks in so well! Like Crabtree & Evelyn hand therapy well!
It will leave your hands soft, non-greasy and smelling delightful!

This smells EXACTLY like this soap sphere I had when I was ~6 years old. And do you know what I did?
It smelt so good I tried to eat it!

This is MY scent!

Some may find it a bit too 'Old lady floral', but for me it will always be youth :p

Solution:
Just try it!

Price: 2/5 (rrp $13 for 30mL)
Scent: 5/5 (yassss!)
Effectiveness: 5/5

Motives - Liquid Gold Shimmer

I purchased this because I wanted more glitter in my life (you only live once, people!)

This one, by Motives is quite nice, in that the fine glitter will give you a nice shimmer and not a stupid sparkle (re: you won't look like Edward Cullen).

Also, the gold colour will look good on anyone, even my pale skin!

Things I don't like:

The roller ball stopped working IMMEDIATELY! I had to jimmy it open (I then mixed it into my body lotion... genius!)

I basically just hate that roller ball...

Solution if you don't need that roller ball noise in your life:
Just Glitter! Spotlight, Lindcraft, Riot Art Supplies... so many places to buy, so MANY TYPES, SO LITTLE TIME! :p

Price: 1/5 (rrp $18.50 for 7.39mL)
Scent: 2/5 (none, going to not grand)
Effectiveness: 3/5 (forget you, roller ball!)

Essenzza - Fuss Free Facials - Age to Perfection

Continuing with my love of face masks, I thought I'd mention this one... I have good and bad to say

Good things:
 - lovely thin Japanese silk mask which moulds well to the face.
 - smells nice (you need that if something is going to sit on your face for a while).
 - it has argon oil and vitamin c (an antioxidant).

Bad things:
 - STUPID two bits of plastic! It's difficult to shape to your face if you follow their instructions and try to apply it with one side of the plastic still on... I end up just removing them both at the start.
 - Related: DON'T LIE TO ME! It is NOT 'Less messy' than other masks... I have two bits of plastic extra to deal with! BS!!!

Solution:
Platinum, baby! Thin mask with no stupid plastic sheets!

Price: 3/5 (rrp $4.95 for one... other masks cost less)
Scent: 4.5/5
Effectiveness: 3/5 (forget you, plastic!)
