Natural Glamour - 2Go - Winter - Auto Bronzing Brush

This is such a cool idea, the bronzer should come through the brush and out for application, no opening of containers required!

To get the powder out, you expand the brush fully, to stop the flow you shrink the brush.

And even though it is quite dark (for me) in the tube, it blends so well!

It is also SPF 12 (15 for newer formula).

The Body Shop - Shimmer Lotion - Frosted Cranberry

They are NOT KIDDING when the call this a 'shimmer lotion'!
It is from the 2015 holiday collection.

I put it on and was shimmering worse than a lame vampire.

The smell is really nice, a sweet cranberry.
It absorbs well and leaves the skin feeling soft.

This setting spray does work, your makeup won't move. 
But it comes at a price!

Art Break - Glowing Tree

There is a tree in my parent's driveway that has become naturally hollowed at the base.

I thought it would be fun to make it glow!

I didn't tell PU1 or PU2 of this plan (to incourage brain excercise as they figure out what is going on) and got some glue and glowing powder.

I liked the glue because I can thin it with water.

I waited until they were out and set to work!

Powder, glue and water.

Before.

After! :D

Once it was dry, it was a little less obvious.

Dried.

I tried to take a photo at night, but I can't get a long enough exposure.
But it looks cool!

It's eerie!
Now we wait for PU1 to notice it!

Bianca J Professional - Eye Liner - BJEL33

This is a dark green eye liner.

It is really hard, too hard for an eyeliner.

The colour intensity is pretty good but not worth how hard it is to put it on.

Personally, I think you should give this one a miss.

This is a nice wine coloured lip liner that is softer than other colours in this line!

Art Break - Gift for Miss Buttons

I won't see Miss Buttons for a while (solely by distance, not choice) so I wanted to get her something to show that I am always thinking about her.

She recently shared the story of 'The Boy Who Drew Cats' from the Myths and Legends podcast, and it really resonated with me.

So this story is the basis of this project!

I started with a box

I keep almost everything for craft. Reduce, reuse, recycle!

and painted the inside a happy peach colour.

I cut out some 'carpet' from some fleece.

I made a window and Comrade (her cat) from card.

I attached Comrade to the carpet

and attached these to the box.

I also drew some cats.

Note that the window and cat are not against the back, that is so we have room for the gift!
For the gift, I bought Miss Buttons a scarf with cats on it. This scarf is the 'wall'.

Last, a little card to explain this all.

Done!

Ulta3 - Nail Effects - Cello Yellow

This is another colour from the 'water colour' series, and the most disappointing of them all.
It REALLY needed to be more pigmented!

This is two coats... yes, really.

Elizabeth Arden - Color Intrigue - Dare

I think my one may be a bit old, its quite dry.
It pulls on my lips when I try to put it on.

The colour is a brick red with a slight gold shimmer, which always looks like a 'more mature' colour.

Lip stick over BJLL4 lip liner.

This isn't really a shade I can pull off.

Swatch.

It also smells like house paint, not that desirable to have on your face.

The resulting colour is patchy and wears off quickly.

I think this is a pass for me.

This is a clear polish with dark green and gold glitter.

It goes really nice over the top of another (opaque) colour.
