Art Break! - Advent Calendar

I wanted to make a advent calendar for PB and I, so I started by buying a cheap chipboard one off the internet.

When it arrived it was poorly painted, which was ok because we are going to repaint it.

I painted the doors red or green.

And painted the doorknobs gold.

I made a little wreath to attach to door 24.

And a little stained glass window.

I put '24' on in gold, like a house number.

I painted the holder light yellow and wrote numbers on the door with a white paint pen.

I then made a little tree and painted some cats to look like the twins.

I made a base of foam and cardboard, which I then painted green.

The base tree and Phil's butt.

All together! The snow is ripped up cotton balls.

Verdict: PB loves it!

Tea Advent Calendar - Day 24 - Genussmomente (Moments of Pleasure)

This tea has rooibos, date, cranberry, ginger, natural aroma, fig, peppermint, bourbon vanilla, and mango.
It also has rice flour and vegetable oil from the dried fruit.

It doesn't taste like much of anything. I can smell the mango and feel the cool of the peppermint, but that's about it.
It's like a watered down rooibos.

Tea Advent Calendar - Day 23 - Lucidity Natürlich

This tea has Ceylon black tea (South India, China), natural aroma, jasmine flowers.
It tastes delicate, medium strength, almost a little fruity, with a jasmine after taste.

I liked it enough that I made PB try it. It is a good tea for beginners (he's new to tea)

Tea Advent Calendar - Day 22 - Fruchtsafari Natürlich (Fruit Safari Naturally)

This tea has apple, grape, hibiscus, pineapple, mango, papaya, beetroot, natural flavor, lemon pieces, and kiwi slices.
It does also have sugar and vegetable oil (as part of the fruit preservation).

It tastes like a weak, non-sweetened fruit cordial.

Tea Advent Calendar - Day 21 - China Genmeicha

This is genmeicha green tea. I was quite confused by the way it looked, it almost looked like there was popcorn in it.

This tea has roasted brown rice and it's how it's meant to look.

It tastes like nori, dried seaweed.
I like the taste of nori, but I don't like to drink it.

Tea Advent Calendar - Day 20 - (Rose Natürlich) Rose Naturally

This tea has  apple, hibiscus, rosehip, orange peel, rose petals, pink rosebuds , yellow rosebuds, and natural aroma.

It tastes very much like rose, very floral.

Tea Advent Calendar - Day 19 - Grüner Rooibos Natur (Natural Green Rooibos)

This tea is a natural green rooibos, I had never heard of green rooibos before.

It has a delicate, floral flavour, almost like a jasmine green tea.

Tea Advent Calendar - Day 18 - China Keemun

This tea is a black Keemun tea.

It tastes crisp, strong, and very pleasant.

Tea Advent Calendar - Day 17 - Kalahari Natürlich

This tea has rooibos super grade, lemongrass, orange peel, natural aroma, and blue cornflowers.

Taste wise, it's a little weak.

Tea Advent Calendar - Day 16 - Chai Gewürzmischung (Chai spice mixture)

This tea has fennel, anise, ginger, licorice root, cloves, and cardamon.

It tastes quite sweet (thanks to the licorice root).

It's quite good, considering I have a sore throat.

Tea Advent Calendar - Day 15 - Minze Himbeere (Mint Raspberry)

This tea has lemongrass, spearmint, rooibos, apple, hibiscus, lemon peel, natural, aroma raspberry leaf, and raspberry.

It tastes of mint and raspberry and is very refreshing. This would be great chilled and over ice on a summer day.

Tea Advent Calendar - Day 14 - Bratapfel Zimt (Baked Apple Cinnamon)

This tea has rooibos, apple, cinnamon sticks, fennel, natural flavor, clove, and licorice root.

The flavour is quite weak, which is disappointing.

Tea Advent Calendar - Day 13 - 8 Sinnesfreuden (8 Sensual Pleasures)

It kind of looks like Jupiter XD

This tea has Darjeeling tea SFTGFOP1 (Super Fine Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe) , Assam tea Tippy Golden, Golden Yunnan black tea, Keemun black tea, natural aroma, cranberry, yellow marigold, and strawberry.

It tastes ...ok. As with many 'flavoured' balck teas though, this is really more of a scent than a taste.

Also, why put nice teas in this if your just going to put flavour over it? Why blend it?

Tea Advent Calendar - Day 12 - Innere Gelassenheit (Inner Serenity)

This tea has lemon balm, blackberry leaf, stinging nettle, and chamomile.

It tastes quite pleasant, a smooth flavour but a little rough on my throat (which was already a little hoarse from talking a lot).

Tea Advent Calendar - Day 11 - China Oolong

This is a oolong tea, it is partially oxidised where black tea is fully oxidised and green tea not at all.

It tastes really nice!

Tea Advent Calendar - Day 10 - Ingwer Zitrone (Ginger Lemon)

This tea has rooibos, ginger, lemongrass, natural flavor, and lemon peel.

The rooibos gives it a lovely red colour.

It tastes quite nice, it isn't too strong and you can feel the 'heat' of the ginger in your throat.

This would great if you had a cold!

This is a black tea, the GFBOP standing for 'Excellent Second Flush Broken Assam'.

It tastes quite nice, a good morning tea.

Tea Advent Calendar - Day 8 - Morgentee (Morning Tea)

This tea has apple, stinging nettle, lemongrass, fennel, chamomile, and blackberry leaves.

In the teapot.

It has a light herbal taste, fennel being two of the strongest notes.
