Art Break! - Advent Calendar

I wanted to make a advent calendar for PB and I, so I started by buying a cheap chipboard one off the internet.

When it arrived it was poorly painted, which was ok because we are going to repaint it.

I painted the doors red or green.

And painted the doorknobs gold.

I made a little wreath to attach to door 24.

And a little stained glass window.

I put '24' on in gold, like a house number.

I painted the holder light yellow and wrote numbers on the door with a white paint pen.

I then made a little tree and painted some cats to look like the twins.

I made a base of foam and cardboard, which I then painted green.

The base tree and Phil's butt.
With baubles.
Before paint

Done!

All together! The snow is ripped up cotton balls.
And when it's all put together:

Verdict: PB loves it!

Art Break! - Simple Kitten Toy

This is just a quick project for the twins.

I used some felt I had and cut out two circles.

I then sewed them together, leaving a gap to put things inside.

After adding some catnip, I sewed it up all the way.
I then stitched around again, just to make it really secure.

Verdict: They loved it! Phil actually wanted it before my sewing was finished. XD

Phil & Lil - Kittens

PB and I have had the kittens for ~1 year now and they are so fun!
I forgot how destructive kittens can be.
Toys destroyed, walls scratched, things pushed off table.
They also liked sneezing on our food, earning the title of 'spice weasels'.

Bam! Taking it up a notch!

But they are also so lovely.
It surprised me how much the stand on two legs! Phil is my little Rory Calhoun.

For a long time I trained myself not to catch things because it wasn't worth trying to catch falling lab glassware, its a fine way to cut your hand up.
But with the kittens, I immediately reach to catch them if I see them falling.
I guess I can't stop myself from wanting to protect them.
And my other cat Hades wasn't in the position to fall much so I never noticed it with him.

Lil is the gentlest, sweetest, little kitty.
She is so considerate and polite, to us and to her brother.
She is very shy of new people, but is very lovely when she gets used to you.

Phil talks a lot, more than any cat I have known before.I call him Mr Squeaky.
He loves company and sitting on laps.
He is also the 'bad egg' at times, scratching our furniture and drinking PB's water.

We love them both so much <3 I'm so glad we got them!

My rating
Lil: 10/10
Phil: 10/10

PB's rating
Lil: 9/10
Phil: 8/10
