Brazilian Butterfly - Lavender Body Scrub with aloe and chamomile

If I never encounter chamomile again, I will die happy. I hate the smell!
That can be arranged
This scrub smells delightfully of lavender (thankfully the chamomile and aloe are used more to sooth the skin) and is one of the best exfoliators I have tried.

The only bad thing about this product is that it's ability as an exfoliator comes at the cost of the Earth... that is, it uses plastic beads which are not biodegradable.

Let's see Captain Planet stop my exfoliator extravaganza!
Because of this, I won't buy it again.

Price: 4/5 (rrp $18.00 for 200mL)
Scent: 5/5
Effectiveness: 5/5 (but I don't care because it doesn't care for the Earth)

Bioré - Pore Unclogging Scrub

This contains those stupid plastic beads which do exfoliate, but also build up in the environment.
This is Captain Pollution, for those of you who didn't watch 'Captain Planet'
Aside from this massive negative, this product worked pretty darn well.
It didn't lather (because it is a scrubs, and scrubs often don't), but gave a good clean (I used it with my Avon Clarisonic knock-off) and left my face feeling fresh and not shredded.

It contains 2.0% salicylic acid, which helps prevent pimples and smells fresh and soapy.

The only real negative was when I occasionally got one of the little beads in my eye (but that is probably more user error than the product's fault)
What it feels like

"I don't want to hurt the Earth with tiny, immortal plastic beads" Solution:

Just add some sugar or salt granules to your favourite face soap!

Price: 4/5 (rrp $9.99 for 141g)
Scent: 3/5
Effectiveness: 4/5

Lux - Evenly Gorgeous - Exfoliating Body Wash

This floral body wash lathers up wonderfully (a common short-falling of exfoliating wash) and smells divine.
The gold shimmer colour of the product is quite pleasing visually and the beads in this do a good job of skin-scrubbing!

I wish there was more of a mix of large and small beads though, as this has more of the larger/coarser beads .
Also, I can't get past the fact that the exfoliating beads in these types of products are plastic/ non-biodegradable.
So, for my eco-friendly friends, a SOLUTION!:

Coffee grounds are biodegradable, can be from your morning cup of joe (Reuse!) and work a treat! Just mix it in with your body wash and you are good to go!
Also, your bathroom will smell amazing afterwards!

Price: 4/5 (rrp $5.99 for 400mL)
Scent: 4.5/5
Effectiveness: 4/5
