The Body Shop - Oils of Life - Intensely Revitalizing Sleeping Cream

This is called 'Intensely Revitalizing' and I think that is quite fitting.
My skin was a little rough before using this and one week later it looks plumper and smoother.
I love this!

It contains black cumin oil, rosehip oil, and camellia oil, and has a herbal scent that is not overpowering.
It is a thick cream that absorbs quickly (~5 minutes) but it does leave a residue, which acts as a barrier overnight.

It is a bit expensive but if you are looking for a cruelty-free night cream that works, give it a try!

Price: 2.5/5 ($51.70 for 80mL)
Scent: 4.5/5
Effectiveness: 5/5

Podcast Review - Sleep With Me

I am yet to finish an episode of this show... because I keep falling asleep.

Ramblings, observations, and tattered stories, told to you in a relaxed manner by our host Scooter lull you to sleep.
It's a bit like falling asleep with the television on except you aren't woken up by the blasting of an obnoxious advertisement.

Scooter doesn't focus on a concise story line and that is part of the genius, you aren't kept awake by focusing on a story.

It's interesting enough that you are happy to put it on and listen to it, but not so interesting that you stay awake.

I have been told that it gets quieter and more rambling as it goes on, but I can't confirm that, I've never been awake for that long.

Thank you Scooter, I look forward to going to bed now, sleep onset insomnia can't win against your show.

Shining Light Book Update

I have been at it for 8 months!

Highlights include:

- getting some good sleep in :)
- Having time to complete some art projects.
- So many candles from PB! I love candles.
- 'Summer' has been nice and cool. (Except for a small heat wave which I and the kittens did not appreciate.)
- A dog walked into my area at work (dogs are not meant to be there). It was a big, black dog and they were so sweet!
- Lunar eclipse!
- I saw a ladybug at the train station.
- I have discovered that the kittens LOVE bubbles!
- I found my mp3 player, I thought I may have lost it forever.

Art Break! - Birthday Devil Card

This is a quick one!

It is a freehand drawing of Devil Flanders, gone over in black ink and coloured in with markers.

The dog isn't on the card, it is just to cover the name.

Verdict: They love it!

Naobay - Calming Face Toner

This is a Glossybox full size sample.

It is a thin (water viscosity), pale brown liquid that smells faintly like the inside of a dishwasher that needs a clean.

This toner says it is natural and organic, on the back it is more honest stating that 99.13% is from natural origin and only 12.16% is from organic farms.
That is dodgy as all hell.

It claims it 'effectively removes traces of makeup and impurities from the skin.' which I found it did not remove much makeup at all.

It isn't irritating, which is a plus.

I like the wooden lid (plastic inside), but this is not a product for those who want a genuinely organic product.

Price: 2/5 ($23.64 for 200mL)
Scent: 0/5
Effectiveness: 1/5

*Thank you to Miss Buttons and PB :)

Hofigal - Hempseed Oil

This is a hempseed oil suppliment with omega 3 and 6.
I take it for immune support and stress management.

The soft capsules are easy to swallow and have no scent.

It won't give you any effect of being high, it has virtually no THC.

Price: 2.5/5 ($20.38 for 40 capsules)
Scent: 2.5/5

Dolphin Massager

My chiropractor uses this and recommended we (PB and I) get one for home.

This is amazing for tense muscles and knots, especially on the calf where manual massage can become quite uncomfortable.

It is very powerful (sometimes overwhelmingly so) but this is adjustable.

It also has different attachments for different things.
A big round attachment for general muscle massage.
A small ball point attachment for focused deep tissue massage.
A brush attachment for annoying my poor, poor skin (we don't use this one at all).

We both love this thing!

Price: 1/5 ($47.01)
