Laboratorium Soluna Heilmittel GmbH Solunat Nr.14 Tropfen

This is some homeopathic bullstone that I was given.

I took it anyway (5 drops in water, per day) because homeopathic medicines don't do anything (can't hurt me if the active ingredients levels are non-existent).

It claims to have mugwort, some form of peony, mistletoe, and Christmas rose.

This is baloney.

Price: 5/5 ($16.62 for 50mL, very expensive for 50mL of mildly flavoured alcohol)
Scent: 2.5/5
Effectiveness: -5/5

Naobay - Calming Face Toner

This is a Glossybox full size sample.

It is a thin (water viscosity), pale brown liquid that smells faintly like the inside of a dishwasher that needs a clean.

This toner says it is natural and organic, on the back it is more honest stating that 99.13% is from natural origin and only 12.16% is from organic farms.
That is dodgy as all hell.

It claims it 'effectively removes traces of makeup and impurities from the skin.' which I found it did not remove much makeup at all.

It isn't irritating, which is a plus.

I like the wooden lid (plastic inside), but this is not a product for those who want a genuinely organic product.

Price: 2/5 ($23.64 for 200mL)
Scent: 0/5
Effectiveness: 1/5

Method - Foaming Body Wash - Ruby Orange

I wanted this primarily for the bottle, to use for foaming shampoo,
I did this and it did not achieve the desired effect, my scalp was just as angry.
(I now wash my hair less.)

The soap itself smells lovely!
There was a "marine" version, but that one smelled like men's deodorant :(

As far as soap being pre-lathered, I didn't really like it.
I usually use a sponge which can lather normal body wash, using less product.
I also felt it did a worse job at cleaning me.

It is a novel idea but ultimately less efficient and didn't protect my skin any more than normal body wash.
It isn't worth trying.

Price: 4/5 ($9.99 for 532mL)
Scent: 4/5
Effectiveness: 0/5

Nature's Own - Complete Sleep

I meant this to be used alternatively with Valerian to prevent habituation.

It contains Lactium (milk protein) and Ziziphus (used in Traditional Chinese Medicine).

I personally didn't feel any effect from taking these. No relaxation, no reduction in muscle tension, no sleepiness.
It wasn't worth my money.

Valerian works so much better.

Price: 1/5 ($24.95 for 30 tablets)
Scent: 2.5/5 (no real scent)
Effectiveness: 0/5

Same Product, Different Scent - Masquerade! - Montagne Jeunesse - Passion Peel Off Mask

Don't let the packaging fool you, it is not opaque! It is clear red and makes you look sunburnt when it is on (don't worry, it doesn't stain).
The smell is pleasant and vaguely fruity. I cannot claim it is effective in any capacity, but it is terribly fun peeling it off!
I feel so bad for those with significant facial hair who will not be able to fully appreciate how much fun these types of masks are.

Mena facial cream

Yes, another whitening cream, I'm still dealing with my shoulders.

I don't like this cream as much as the Dermisa cream. It leaves a chalky residue on the skin which you really need to scrub off.

As far as removing my stupid tan, this doesn't seem that effective, but I'll use up what I have (may as well), so I clearly don't find it offensive either.

Be warned, the amount that comes in each jar is TINY. Tiny jar,  tiny product amount (3g). It is just a disk of product, it really didn't need the jar.
The packaging, in addition to being mostly air, looks quite childish and has very little information on it... not loving it, Mena!

Price: 5/5 (rrp $1.39 for 3g)
Scent: 1/5
Effectiveness: 1/5

Protane Naturals - Moroccan Argan Oil Hydrating Shampoo

I wanted to love this (the clear rip of Organix shampoo that it is)... but I couldn't.
It didn't lather well, you have to wash twice to get a clean feel and the bottle... THE BOTTLE!...

Perhaps I am the weakest person ever...

Ok, definitely weak, but I couldn't squeeze the damn shampoo out! So frustrating!

Oh Aldi, how you let me down!

"I want working shampoo" Solution:

Effective, cheap and cheerful!

John Frieda - Sheer Blonde - Highlight Activating Moisturising Shampoo

And after another break, the "shampoo blog" is back! ;)

John Frieda shampoo is usually pretty nice. This one smells nice, floral and light in scent.
The lather is nice too.
My only issue with this product is I didn't really feel it helped with my hair colour.
It does specify that it is non-colour depositing (not that adding colour would be really helpful to improve a blonde colour), it didn't really make my blonde more vibrant/brighter.
It seems to work by 'removing build up'... any good shampoo can do that!

'This shampoo, but if it did anything for the colour" Solution:
Stick to the classics

Price: 2/5 ($15.99 for 250mL)
Scent: 4/5
Effectiveness: 2.5/5

Zk'in - Certified Organic - Line Smoothing Serum

I wanted to like this... but the smell... THE SMELL!

It's like cinnamon and rubbing alcohol had an ugly baby... it brings tears to my eyes, and not from joy!

Was my packet fermented? Let me know if you have tried this!
But don't buy it to find out, it may actually mean to be like that!

Price: 1.5/5 (rrp $59.95 for 25mL)
Scent: 0/5 oh god, why?!)
Effectiveness: 1/5 (did pretty poorly as a line smoother)
