Bioré - Self-Heating 1 Minute Mask

I like this brand for their pore strips so I thought I'd give these a try.

The mask does get noticeably hot on application, but not scolding hot.

I was surprised by the smell, a clean (menthol), floral scent that is super nice!

The only downsides are the recommended cut line to open the packet makes a hole that really is too small for efficient application and the fact that you only keep it on for a minute does make is less relaxing.

I find it does leave my face clean and triggers some 'purging' (pimples).

Price: 5/5 (4 for $6.99)
Scent: 5/5
Effectiveness: 5/5

Eau Thermale Avène - Soothing Moisture Mask

You put this mask on as a thick layer, wait 10-15 minutes, then dab off the excess with a cotton pad.

I, however, washed it off.
It smells like mouldy oats and I don't need that smell staying on my face.

I did try dabbing it off and seeing how my skin felt... you can't just dab this! It leaves a weird residue on your face.

My skin felt a little better after I washed it off, both nothing great.

Price: 4/5 ($37.99 for 50mL, about 10 masks)
Scent: 1/5
Effectiveness: 1/5

A nice lemon sheet mask for travel.

This is a thin sheet mask that smells like nectarines! :D

Masquerade! - Dr. Jart+ - Firming Solution

Aeroplane mask!

This is a two part mask, a lower face part and a upper face part.
This is a thin, gelatinous mask which comes with both a backing and front sheet.
It is apparently contains a thermosensitive cellulose gel.
The serum has a lovely, light floral scent.

Same Product, Different Scent - Masquerade! - Montagne Jeunesse - Cucumber Peel Off Mask

I honestly can't recommend this, there is something in it that makes my eyes sting.

Masquerade! - Tony Moly - Intense Care Syn-Ake Eye Mask

This was a fun little eye mask, but it did slide down a lot, which is not fun.

The black colour was cool and it came with a good amount of serum.

Same Product, Different Scent - Masquerade! - Montagne Jeunesse - Passion Peel Off Mask

Don't let the packaging fool you, it is not opaque! It is clear red and makes you look sunburnt when it is on (don't worry, it doesn't stain).
The smell is pleasant and vaguely fruity. I cannot claim it is effective in any capacity, but it is terribly fun peeling it off!
I feel so bad for those with significant facial hair who will not be able to fully appreciate how much fun these types of masks are.

Masquerade! - My Scheming 2 in 1 Neroli Mask
I LOVE NEROLI!
A cirtus-floral scent? Sign me up!
This came with a serum to put on afterward, which was fun, and they do give you a generous amount.

Masquerade! - Montagne Jeunesse - Lemon Zest Peel Off - Detox & Pore Cleansing Masque
the bottom one
This is a bit different to the masks I usually review, in that it isn't a sheet mask, but a goo that dries on your face, then you peel it off.
This one has a lovely lemon scent with lemon, aloe vera, green tea, ginseng, evening primrose, ginger, seaweed and Dead Sea salt.
My only issue with this is I wish the goo was opaque (but that is hardly a big deal).
These are so much fun, like peeling dried glue off your hand! <3

Masquerade! - My Scheming - Gold Bird's Nest Hydrating Black Mask

This mask was on a black sheet! How cool!
It smelled like medicinal cherry and contained collagen, gold foil, carrageenan (red seaweed), aloe and cucumber extract.

Masquerade! - Baroness Snail Mask Sheet
It is getting to that point in my life when I am no longer being asked for ID at the liquor store... this is making me feel like I look old, and subsequently sad.
I don't mind being old, I just don't want to look my age! (I know, I commit the deadly sin of Vanity... among others ;D)

So would I put snail mucus on my face in a vain attempt to aid my skin? You bet I will!
In addition to snail secretion, this mask also has clove, ivy and horse chestnut extract.

I don't like how stiff these paper masks can be, but this particular 'flavour' was ok.

Masquerade! - My Scheming EGF & Amino Acid Double Lifting Mask

This came with the stupid backing sheet... but it does cover the neck as well, which is fun.
Has witch hazel and sunflower extract; smells light, soapy and floral.

Masquerade! - Oriental Herbal Skincare Premium Mask Pack

This was the Silk worm (Whitening type) face mask. It smells lovely and fresh, with a very faint floral scent.

Quick Fix Facials Exfoliating Scrub Mask - Blackheads and Blocked Pores

This ten minute mask contains pink rose clay, glycolic acid and pomegranate extract and is quite gritty, which makes sense as you massage it in at the start (exfoliation!).

I didn't like how it felt quite heavy, was messy to use, didn't really clean out my pores and sometimes left my face red. Over all, not my cup of tea.

Also, it smelled like dirt and oats.

Price: 4/5 ($8.95 for 10 uses)
Scent: 0/5
Effectiveness: 1/5
