This is a vegan, natural eyeliner pencil.
It is also suitable for people who use contact lenses.

It is quite soft, which I don't hate.

The colour payoff is really nice!

Eye liner on the outer half of the top lid and with mascara on the top lashes.

Alterra - Naturkosmetik - Max Lash Booster Mascara - 01 Black

This is a black mascara that is paraben free (something I have been looking for of late).
It is also vegan.

I picked this one from the range because of the beautiful big brush that my lashes love.

I only did the top lashes.

The  formula isn't too thick, giving a very natural colour to the lashes.
It won't clump your lashes together, which is ideal.

The Body Shop - Crayon Kohl - Eye Definer - Black

This black eye liner really disappointed me! :C

As is, it barely transfers at all:

It works when you pass it over a flame:

But I shouldn't have to heat it up like a drug fiend.

I particularly love this over a light blue, to look like robin's egg shells!

It is a clear polish with white and black specks, hexagons (of various sizes), and lines.

Initially I was quite worried by this, it looked too big to be eye powder.

But I wet my brush and tried anyway.

MAC - Superslick Liquid Eye Liner - On The Hunt

This is a black liquid eye liner that goes on really well (even on my oil... I mean skin).

The colour intensity is great and the brush is easy to use.

BUT it irritated my eye lid and made it swell :(

I was skeptical going into this, felt tip liners don't like my oil shield (read: skin).

This is actually decent! It goes on my skin, stays on, has good colour intensity, and is easy to control.

I'm disappointed in the colour payoff from this.

The colour is quite weak.

It is soft enough but has little flecks of green glitter in it which make it gritty as well.

I'm not going to do multiple passes on my eye with this to build up the coverage.

What the heck is this?!

The formula is clumpy and too thick.

You have to be so gentle to avoid clumping.

The brush IS NOT A BRUSH, but rather a flat, sad little comb that does NOTHING!!!!

This stupid brush is flat! Flat like a comb!

Seriously, this is only going to work if your lashes are less than 4mm in length.

This is the mess I am left with :(

The Body Shop - Nail Polish - Nail Sequins - Silver

This was part of the 2016 holiday collection.

It is a clear polish with black and silver medium sized hexagons, and white specks.

One coat.

I personally wish there wasn't any black hexagons, to make it lighter toned.

Rimmel - Wonder'full - Wake Me Up - Mascara

This is a fun idea, in which the mascara has cucumber volatiles in it (to freshen the eyes).

Do I think said volatiles will make you more awake? Not on a chemical level, but as an unusual stimuli, yeah.

These are my natural eyelashes with mascara on them.

The brush is great, nice and long.
The formula is smooth and doesn't clump or flake off.

This is a fun twist on a makeup standard, try it!

Rodial - Glamolash - Mascara - XXL - Black

I LOVE the brush! This longer brush comb really works for me.

It is a little dry formula-wise (had to re-dip the wand a few times), but otherwise gives an acceptable result.

In mine, there are clearly fibres in the formula, but this is not listed as a feature on the website.

However these fibres do not transfer to the lash, so I don't care that much.

However, there are definitely better mascaras for a better price.

Wow, this went on so smooth and with great colour payoff!!

I actually gasped...
but that was more of a reflection of how disappointing the other eyeliners from this brand have been.

W7 - Nail Polish - 131 Bronze Debris

This is a clear nail polish with gold, bronze, and black glitter. 
It is a mix of lines, circles, and really fine specks.

Once coat.

I have nail polish swatch sticks now so I will swatch the colours there.
On the underside I will put a black cross, to give you a better idea of opacity.

Science! Because I'm giving you evidence!

While it is a fun idea, I didn't realise it had black glitter in it when I purchased it.
I could do without the black glitter in this one.

D.I.Y. Is This So Fun!? - Oven Light Switch

So the oven light switch broke AGES ago and has been a sad nub for years.

PU1 is away at the moment, so why not try to fix it and see if she notices.

I have this cap that I found, which will make a good substitute.

I put some glue and tissue in it to get the inside nice and tight.

I then stuck it on the nub.

And painted it black.

Awe yeah!

Verdict: PU1 loved it! I had to point it out, but it was very well recieved!

Masquerade! - Tony Moly - Intense Care Syn-Ake Eye Mask

This was a fun little eye mask, but it did slide down a lot, which is not fun.

The black colour was cool and it came with a good amount of serum.

Art break - The Man in the Iron (red) Mask

One of my colleagues held a masquerade themed birthday party earlier this month.
I asked one of my friends at work if he received an invite, the following conversation then took place:

Me - Do you have a mask?
Lakai - No.
Me - Well, I know a few shops nearby that you could get one...
Lakai - I don't think I want to do that.
Me - Or you could make one, it wouldn't be hard. You just need some paint and...
Lakai - *Looking at me*
Me - ... Or I could make you one?
Lakai - Now you understand my thoughts.

So I asked for the colours of the clothes he planned to wear (which started a discussion on dress codes) and set to work.

I had black and crimson/wine, with white accents to work with. I wanted something that looked a bit fancy (it is 'Masquerade' after all) but still understated and manly (I don't feel like being beaten up).

So this is what I came up with:

I used cord under the paint to create some interesting texture, arranging it in an asymmetrical starburst shape.
The white beading stops it from being too dark.
Each bead was placed individually O.o

Verdict from Lakai: He said he meant that he wanted to make it together (why he didn't say that, I don't know... I think he just felt bad and said this), but he liked it! :)

Maybelline - Master Precise Liquid liner

I wanted to like this... but for some damn reason, product hardly came out when I used it near my eyes.
I can draw lines on my hands too my heart's content, but the minute I try to use it as intended, it failed :(

Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?
Perhaps it has to do with natural oils made by my eyelids.
