Sally Hansen - Hard as Nails - Xtreme Wear - Nail Color - Pixel Perfect

I particularly love this over a light blue, to look like robin's egg shells!

It is a clear polish with white and black specks, hexagons (of various sizes), and lines.

One coat.

Price: 3/5 ($6.95 for 11.8mL)
New Name: In Print
Effectiveness: 5/5

Sally Hansen - Miracle Cure - Strengthener

This base coat/ polish is meant to strengthen problem nails.

It dries super fast and is really shiny (love).

However, it chips so fast! like within the first day!
:( Why Sally, why?!

After a few weeks of using it, my nails do seem a little stronger, but not a phenomenal amount.

Price: 1/5 ($19.95 for 13.3mL)
Effectiveness: 1/5

Sally Hansen - Complete Care 7-in-1 Nail Treatment

Let's go through the '7 benefits'!
1. Base Coat (ok)
2. Top Coat (ok)
3. Growth (has calcium, so possible)
4. Strengthener (as a re-enforcement)
5. Ridge-Filler (all polish does this)
6. Brightener (no)

7. Ultra-Moisturising (It has avocado oil but no nail polish is 'ultra-moisturising'!)

But is isn't the worst list of claims I've seen.

As a top coat, it is pretty darn good.

Price: 1/5 ($19.95 for 13.3mL)
New Name: 5-in-1 Nail Treatment
Effectiveness: 4/5

Sally Hansen - Advanced Hard as Nails - Strengthener - Nude

This contains Nylon, retinol, soy and omega 3 to re-enforce your nails.
So if your nails are soft or brittle, this may be a good polish to try.

Price: 3/5 ($9.95 for 13.3mL)
Effectiveness: 4/5

Sally Hansen - Maximum Growth

The instructions suggest reapplying this everyday... I don't think that much nail polish removal is good for your nails.

It has protein and silk which could help re-enforce your nails, but won't make them grow any faster of better.

Price: 2.5/5 ($14.95 for 13.3mL)
New Name: Maximum Re-enforcement
Effectiveness: 2/5

Sally Hansen - Hard as Nails - Xtreme Wear - Nail Color - Black Out

This is a true black, that isn't thin and is opaque in two coats.
It is a great staple black!

Two coats.
The texture is from the plastic, not the polish.

Price: 3/5 ($6.95 for 11.8mL)
New Name: Gothica
Effectiveness: 5/5

Sally Hansen - Luster Shine - Nail Color - Copperhead 008

This looked so cool in the bottle, but you put it on and... basic 'metallic' red/copper colour which does not suit me at all.

Two coats and no colour shift.

Price: 2/5 (~$11 for 10mL)
New Name: Martian Copper
Effectiveness: 4/5

Sally Hansen - Complete Salon Manicure - Back to the Fuchsia 530

This isn't just a killer pink, it also has a fine blue duo-chrome shift!
I love the hidden extra.

Two coats, can still just see the cross.

Price: 1/5 ($14.95 for 14.7mL)
New Name: Unstoppable Pink
Effectiveness: 3/5

Sally Hansen - Complete Salon Manicure - 610 - Red Zin

This is a dark red/ blood red shade that looks wonderfully vampy!

Because it is by Sally Hansen, it is good quality.

Nice colour intensity, dries relatively quickly, and has a good shine.

It does require two coats for opacity.

Price: 1/5 ($14.95 for 14.7mL)
Scent: 0/5 (don't smell it)
Effectiveness: 4/5

Sally Hansen - 18K Gold Hardener

This is my go to base coat for all the nail polish I wear!

It has actual gold in it and dries SUPER quickly, allowing you to get on with the coloured varnish quicker. It gives a smooth base to work with <3

It is easily removed and doesn't damage the nail (unlike other base coats).

This is a traditional Sally Hansen product in the sense it is high quality and does not disappoint.

Price: 1/5 ($16.95 for 10mL)
Scent: 1/5 (do not smell, but not overly bad for a nail polish)
Effectiveness: 5/5

Sally Hansen - Insta-Dri Top Coat

I love Sally Hansen products, they are usually quite reliable.
This top coat was both good and bad.
It was great to go over the top of my Revlon Gel Envy top coat (can you say overkill?) to get a great, professional finish (look).
It did dry quickly, but there in lies its downfall... because I could only use 3/4 of the bottle before it became gluggy and impossible to work with.
But that is the only negative, I love it otherwise and will probably repurchase it!

Price: 2/5(rrp $15.45 for 13.3mL)
Scent: 2/5 (not offensive beyond normal nail polish level)
Effectiveness: 4/5

Sally Hansen - Salon Effects - Real Nail Polish Strips - #410 Love Letter
I picked this up on sale and it looked like fun... nail polish stickers, how hard can it be? Right?!

When applying the stickers, the plastic was a bit fiddly to get off the nail polish part... I had about a 15% rip rate of the nail polish part.

Also, I had a few wrinkles in the end result, due to the distinct curvature of my nail not matching well with the planar nature of the sticker.

It looked good though!:

What I HATED though was that ONLY ONE DAY later it CHIPPED! I even had a top coat on! S.O.B!

I don't care if I have Shakespeare transcribed on my nails, if it's just going to chip within a day, I don't want it!

Solution:

This top coat is terrific! Use this on top if you insist on using the nail stickers. :)

Price: 2/5 (rrp $14.95 for one round)
Effectiveness: 2/5
