Schwarzkopf - 3 Wetter Taft Pump- Haarspray Classic Extra Stark

This is a hair spray that comes as a pump spray.

The pump instead of an aerosol keeps it from spreading too far in the air and stinking up the house. It is also better for the environment.

It holds really well and does not disappoint.

Price: 4/5 ($4.64 for 150mL)
Scent: 2.5 (normal hairspray stink)
Effectiveness: 5/5

Alviana - Naturkosmetik (Natural Cosmetics) - Classic Feuchtigkeitspflege (Moisturiser)

This is a lip balm with organic jojoba oil, shea butter, beeswax, and olive oil.
It doesn't contain any synthetic fragrances, dyes, preservatives, silicones, or mineral oil-based ingredients.

The scent is faint and a mix of beeswax and shea butter.

It goes on smoothly, the product itself not too hard or too soft.
It isn't too sticky, my hair didn't get stuck in it.

After just one night of use, my lips are a lot less dry. I like it.

Price: ($2.35 for 4.5g)
Scent: 2.5/5 (faint shea butter and beeswax)
Effectiveness: 5/5

This works well and prevents breakthrough sweating.

It didn't upset my skin.

The scent is a muted purple florals and lavender scent, which is quite pleasant.

Price: 5/5 ($4.20 for 50mL)
Scent: 4.5/5
Effectiveness: 5/5

Herbal Essences - Classic Herbal Essences - Replenishing Shampoo

When I was younger, I formed this association between the rose scented Herbal Essence shampoo and beauty. I guess I must have been exposed to a very effective marketing campaign, although not that successful because I also associate the shampoo with Andie MacDowell and she never featured in their ads (as far as my search can find).

Although the connection may just be because she is also beautiful.

Roses were something in the city could grow, apparently 'the possums would just eat them' where I live.
They were beautiful, pink, and smelled nothing like the baby shampoo I grew up with.

Now that I have some money, I can indulge in this shampoo and it is everything I wanted.

It smells amazing, has no added silicon, lathers and cleans the hair really well.

The only negative is it can pull colour out of dyed hair. Both S and I used this in Germany and our purple/red locks stained some pillow covers.

I got around this by putting it in a 'foaming soap' bottle (it uses watered down shampoo).

It pre-foams the soap and also makes it easier on my scalp (which like the rest of my skin, reacts badly to too much soap exposure).

Price: 3.5/5 (RRP $9.49 for 490mL)
Scent: 5/5
Effectiveness: 4.5/5
