Anatomicals - zap! zap! zap! gets that chap - Spot Stick

My skin doesn't understand that I'm not a teenager anymore.
I still get pimples... occasionally they are impressively bad!

So I thought I'd give this spot treatment a try.
It has a night and day treatment.

The day treatment is clear and smells kind of citrus-y.
The night treatment is white and smells like tea tree oil.

I used it on a few pimples I had over the past few months and... I don't think it really did anything.

Toothpaste is still the best thing I have for pimples.

BeyoncĂ© Heat EDT

I din't like this as much as 'Heat Rush'! It comes in a pretty red glass bottle with gold hardware and smells like red flowers and tart current.

It is a moderate sillage scent and lasts for a while.
When I was using it, it felt like it lasted about an hour.

Fragrantica says:

Top notes:  neroli, peach, magnolia, orchid.
Middle notes: musk, honeysuckle, almond, macaroons.
Base notes: amber, tonka bean, sequoia.

I would guess the notes as: red florals, red currant, musk, woods.
I get NO magnolia.
This is definitely a afternoon/ night scent and would probably be best in autumn.

Ma's guess: Some sort of flower XD (she liked it though).

Price: 2/5 (rrp $69 for 100mL)
Season: Autum
Weight: Medium

Avon - Anew - 10% Vitamin C Serum

I loved this!

I got so many comments while using this ("Are you ok? You look pale." = brighter skin) and I could see the improvement.

It smells citrus, oily, and slightly nutty. It soaks in well and skin immediately feel softer.

Just remember to use it at night, as it may make your skin more sensitive to light.

Price: 2/5 ($35 for 30mL)

L'Occitane En Provence - Precious Night Cream

This night cream (from my favourite store that I shouldn't let myself go into, of course) is lovely and rich, making it a nice night time treatment.

I don't like the scent of this one as much as the L'Occitane Immortelle Divine Cream, it smells like hay/oats to me... but it does feel lovely on.

My advice would be to skip this and go for the divine cream, if you find yourself faced with the choice between the two.

Price: 1/5 (rrp $98.00 for 50mL)

Effectiveness: 4/5

L'Occitane En Provence - Divine Youth Oil

I am a huge fan of oils! Even though I have oily skin, my skin feels and looks better if I use oil nightly... perhaps your skin doesn't have to make so much oil of it's own if there is some already to added, like a negative feedback system? I don't know, I can't be arsed finding out right now...

This oil from L'Occitane (my favourite store, although I don't really have the money for it) smells like it's name suggests, divine!

It contains sunflower, evening primrose, apricot and orange oil and it sinks into the skin fairly quickly.

If I could afford to make this my permanent night oil, I would!
