Model Co - Roxy - Sally Fitzgibbons - Eye Shadow Duo - Bronzed Goddess (Maldives & Jamaica)

This eye shadow duo is a collaborative effort between Model Co, Roxy, and some surfer called Sally Fitzgibbons... Silly people, eye shadow is a hindrance when surfing!

There are two shades, a champagne shimmer (Maldives) and a warm brown shimmer (Jamaica).

Maldives - look at the fallout on my lashes!
'Maldives' has a lot of fall out! It also looks 'lumpy'.

More fallout on my lashes.
Powder over the Eye of Horus selenite eyeliner.

'Jamaica' was the same... but worse because the fallout beneath my eyes made me look tired :/

The names seem kinda stupid, why not name them something related to surfing?
I don't get the tie-in.

This is a good lesson in why you should always test products before you have your name slapped on them.

Price: **No longer sold**
New Names: 'Sand bank' and 'Driftwood'
Effectiveness: 0.5/5

A purple cream eye shadow stick in purple, but when put on it isn't as colour-intensive or purple as you would expect.

Just on the bare eyelid.

Ugh, don't bother with this one.

Scent: 2.5/5 (no real scent)

Model Co - Cheek + Lip Tint - Rosy Red

First and foremost, THIS IS PINK!

This is your standard easy-to-wash-off tint.
It doesn't last long and doesn't have a great colour payoff.

I used it as a cheek tint, it was ok.

It's like looking for an embarrassed polar bear in the snow.

You don't have to go for this brand, this type of product is fairly common.

Price: 0.5/5 ($31.60 for 9.76mL)
New Name: Peony Pink
Effectiveness: 1/5

Model Co - Lash & Brow - Growth Stimulator

Yep, another brow growing attempt! But this time, I am the guinea pig XD

The instructions are to apply it once nightly for 28 days.
So here are the before and after shots:

As I used it, I felt my brows looked better and thought they were growing.
But looking at the photos, I can't see any significant difference.
The benefits I perceived were most likely from the serum lining my eyebrow hair up and making them a little darker/thicker because they had the serum on them.

I liked how the serum was translucent, it make it look like it contained more (as opposed to the Lacura version which was clear).

It had a spicy/clinical smell, which was faint.

I really liked the packaging, a sleek silver bullet with a good weight to it.

But at the end of the day, it didn't work.
You would get the same benefit from buying a (no-doubt cheaper) lash gel.

Price: 2/5 ($24.oo for 7 mL)
Scent: 1/5
Effectiveness: 1/5

Model Co - Shine Ultra Lip Gloss - Strip Tease

I'm quite suspicious of lip glosses since my toothpaste allergy/lips that never stopped bleeding started about the same time that I started using lip gloss (correlation does not equal causation).

This lip gloss reminded me of these old fears...

Right of the bat, this is a relatively unknown brand name to me... This is your typical sticky lip gloss, with virtually no colour pay-off and fine-milled glitter.
On, it makes my lips feel a little itchy and while it provides a physical barrier, it didn't add any moisture.

The container, while I love the little mirror on the side of the tube, the damn thing leaked!!! How dare it!

So let's say it is like it's colour name-sake (A cheap strip-tease)  it leaves you a few dollars poorer and covered in glitter. XD (and there are a few other parallels, but I'll keep it a bit more appropriate for the blog)

Price: 1/5 (rrp $20.00, how can such a crappy formula cost so much?)
Scent:1/5 (smells like powdered fake fruit)
Effectiveness: 0/5
